Thanks to Lee's inspiration, I hosted a Scott Kelby Photo Walk on Saturday. The weather did not cooperate, but it was still great to have a group of strangers come together with cameras. Events such as these are challenging for an introvert like me - hosting really adds to that challenge!
We gathered at 830am, under dark clouds. I thought I was being really prepared - I had printed out nametags for everyone in advance. I knew that some people wouldn't show up due to weather, but wanted make it easier to learn names just the same. Turns out, a local 'meet up group" had also posted about the walk - so there were people there that I didn't expect! The more the merrier! I spent a bit too much time in the beginning asking everyone to introduce themselves (really to put ME at ease) - one of the photogs nervously eyed the clouds & suggested that we just get on with things. Probably a good idea! We wandered along the waterfront a bit, then meandered up to the farmer's market. When we couldn't dodge the rain any longer, we headed to Maglianero's.
A few faves (not surprising that they're all food!)...
I highly recommend the honey latte at Maglianero's...sooo good.
