What happens when you take these yummy ingredients, and put them in these cute little mason jars...
You end up with Chocolate Raspberry Mint Pie Jars. The idea? Adorable. The result? One little issue - see that chocolate layer? Once refrigerated, it becomes hard enough to bend a spoon (yes, Austin did). The rest of the recipe was yummy - we ate some leftover mousse filling straight from the bowl. The inspiration for all of this? A fun cookbook...

My verdict? Definitely some fun recipes to try. I've bookmarked at least a dozen! I'll definitely give the Pie Jars another go...and make a batch or two of Flipsides. Love the bright & cheery photographs, and the easy-to-follow recipes. Pie is a comfort food for me - and this cookbook makes comfort pretty darn cute.
Something that you probably didn't know about me - I wrote a business plan for a pie shop during a marketing class in college. It's still one of those "hmmm, what if?" daydreams. Maybe Dani needs an east coast High 5 Pies location?
